Battery Life FAQ

Battery life is affected by multiple factors, such as usage habits, watch settings, and device age. Below are some frequently asked questions about battery life.

Q1: How are "Estimated daily battery remaining" and "Estimated GPS hours remaining" calculated?
Estimated Days Remaining: Calculated based on the watch's current settings (screen brightness, heart rate monitoring mode, stress monitoring, etc.) and the remaining battery level.

Estimated GPS Battery Life: Calculated based on the watch's currently selected GPS mode and the remaining battery level.

Q2: What causes faster battery drain?

1. Using Wi-Fi to download music or maps, or to update firmware.

2. Using GPS for outdoor activities or navigation (Dual-Frequency GPS mode provides the greatest precision but also the most battery drain).

3. Connecting to headphones to play music or voice alerts.

4. Keeping the AMOLED screen always-on (adjustable in System > More Settings > Display based on your needs).

5. Using the display Flashlight widget.

Q3: How can I conserve my Battery Life?
To learn what settings to adjust to optimize battery usage on your device, see our detailed article here.

Q4: What is "General Use" in the power usage breakdown?
General Use includes regular system operations that cannot be disabled, including Bluetooth connection to the app and other background processes.

Q5: How should I maintain battery health?

1. Keep the watch regularly charged. Leaving your watch unused for long periods can harm the battery. Being fully discharged to 0V can cause capacity loss.

2. Avoid storing the watch in high temperatures (storage above 140°F can reduce battery capacity by more than 20%).

3. Use the provided charging adapter / cable. Avoid non-standard accessories.
